Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Dreams Technologies when you use Grocery POS. We have kept it as plain as the law allows.

Last updated September 24, 2026 Effective October 1, 2026 6 min read
The short version

You own your store data. Keep your account secure, use Grocery POS lawfully, and pay for the plan you choose. We keep the service running and protect your information, and either of us can end the agreement at any time.

1 Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Grocery POS (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business, and “you” means both you and the business.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2 Your account

You must provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including actions by staff you invite.

  • Choose a strong password and keep it, and any staff PINs, confidential.
  • Give each team member their own login and the lowest role that lets them do their job.
  • Tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised access.

3 Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful business purposes. You will not:

  • Break the law, or sell goods or services that are illegal where you operate.
  • Probe, scan or test the Service for weaknesses without our written permission.
  • Upload malware, or interfere with the Service or other customers’ use of it.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service, or use it to build a competing product.

4 Plans, billing and trials

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in the currency shown at checkout. Free trials last 14 days and need no payment card; when a trial ends your account moves to read-only until you choose a plan.

Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires, and taxes are added where applicable. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before changing the price of your plan, and the change applies from your next billing period.

5 Your data

You keep all rights to the products, customers, sales and other content you put into the Service (“Your Data”). You give us a limited licence to host, process and back it up solely to provide and improve the Service for you.

You can export Your Data at any time from the settings pages. After your account closes we keep it for 30 days so you can change your mind, then delete it, apart from records we must keep by law.

6 Payments and hardware

Card and digital payments are processed by third-party payment providers under their own terms. We do not store full card numbers. You are responsible for your own sales tax and reporting, and for the accuracy of prices, discounts and tax rates you configure.

Receipt printers, scanners, cash drawers and card readers are sold or supported by their manufacturers. We will help you connect supported devices, but we are not responsible for third-party hardware faults.

7 Third-party services

The Service can connect to accounting, delivery, messaging and sign-in providers that you choose to enable. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. You can disconnect an integration at any time.

8 Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos and documentation, belongs to Dreams Technologies and our licensors. These terms give you a right to use it, not to own it. If you send us feedback we may use it without owing you anything.

9 Availability and support

We work hard to keep Grocery POS available and will announce planned maintenance in advance. The register keeps working offline and syncs when the connection returns, but we cannot promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Support hours and response targets depend on your plan.

10 Termination

You can cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if payment fails and is not fixed after notice, or if we are required to by law.

11 Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profit or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

14 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sangamon County, Illinois, unless local law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
