We never sell your data

Not yours, not your customers’. Ever.

Card numbers stay with processors

We only see the last four digits.

Your data, your call, in a few clicks.

1 Who we are

Grocery POS is operated by Dreams Technologies (“we”, “us”). For the information you enter about your own business and customers, you are the controller and we act as your processor. For account, billing and usage information about you, we are the controller.

2 What we collect

  • Account details: your name, work email, store name, phone number and password (stored as a salted hash).
  • Business data you enter: products, prices, stock, suppliers, staff, customers and sales.
  • Payment information: plan, billing address and the last four digits of a card, from our billing provider.
  • Usage and device data: pages viewed, feature use, IP address, browser and device type, and error logs.
  • Messages: what you send our support team, and delivery records for texts and emails sent through the Service.

3 How we use it

  • To run the Service: process sales, sync your registers, back up your data and send receipts.
  • To keep it safe: detect fraud, abuse and unusual sign-ins.
  • To support you and improve the product, including fixing bugs and planning features.
  • To contact you about your account, billing, security and, if you agree, product news.
  • To meet legal duties, such as tax and accounting rules.

4 Who we share it with

We share information only with trusted providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that limit how they can use it: cloud hosting, payment processing, email and text delivery, analytics and customer support tools. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect people and property.

If we are involved in a merger or sale, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must honour this policy.

5 Payment card data

Card details are collected and processed by your chosen payment provider. They go straight to that provider and never touch our servers, so we can only show you the card brand, the last four digits and the transaction status.

6 Cookies

We use a small set of cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences such as language and theme, and understand which features are used. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may then stop working.

7 How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. After you close it we hold your data for 30 days in case you return, then delete it. Some records, such as invoices and tax documents, are kept for up to seven years because the law requires it.

8 Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited by role and logged, and we test our systems regularly. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and turn on two-step verification. If a breach affects you, we will tell you promptly.

9 International transfers

We may process your information in countries other than your own. Where we do, we use approved safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, so it stays protected to the same standard.

10 Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent at any time.

  • Most of these can be done yourself in Settings, including data export and account deletion.
  • For anything else, email privacy@dreamstechnologies.example and we will respond within 30 days.
  • You can opt out of marketing emails with the link in any message.

11 Children

Grocery POS is built for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information; if you think we have, please tell us and we will delete it.

12 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Service or the law changes. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest version.

This is sample policy text for demonstration. Have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before you rely on it.
